These are two of the many young adults that have come into our care. We are only using first initials to protect their privacy and identity throughout their daily lives.
This is Q’s StoryThis was the first teen to join our household and inspired this entire operation. He came into our care one month before his 16th birthday. He was at risk of falling into unlawful behavior and the vicious cycle with the justice system that consumes so many juveniles with unstable backgrounds. Since coming into our care, he has acquired a drivers license and a high school diploma. After graduating high school, he successfully completed boot camp for the US Army while simultaneously gaining welding certifications to further his career. He is currently still in the Army National Guard and has transitioned out of our program into his own apartment at the age of 21.
This is J’s StoryBefore J came into our care, he was missing school and at risk of failing out. He had zero parental supervision. No job, bank account, financial or future goals. He came into our care as a referral from other young adults in our care. Due to familial issues, J needed a place to live and asked to become a part of our program in December of 2022 and moved in shortly after with his parents consent. While in our household, J continuously went to school and improved his grades to achieve distinguished, honor roll while maintaining a job as a cook in a local restaurant. He acquired his own personal bank account and drivers license and learned to budget his money wisely while also creating his own savings for the future. Currently, J has recently graduated from a technical high school and is now completing bootcamp to become a part of the US marines at the age of 18.
